Declarations of interests will now be submitted through the State Portal

01.07.2026 | 15:21

As of 1 July, a new register of declarations of interests is in use on the eesti.ee website.

More specifically, as of today, the register of declarations of interests is moving from the e-services environment e-MTA to the eesti.ee portal. This change in platform will not result in any substantive changes for declarants. The public will also continue to have access to both the declarations of interests submitted this year and those submitted in previous years.

The new register will become operational in phases. First, the option to submit declarations will be made available, and in the second half of July, users will be able to view declarations of interests submitted through the new register.

In the second half of 2026, the new register will be enhanced with various technical features. The register will be fully operational by early 2027 at the latest.

Until then, the archive of declarations of interests submitted to date can be accessed in the e-MTA e-services environment. This can be done at emta.ee – e-services. After signing in, select yourself as the represented person, then choose from the menu: Registers and inquiries – Public inquiries – Declaration of interests.

For more detailed information and instructions on submitting declarations of interests on the eesti.ee portal, please visit the website korruptsioon.ee (in Estonian).

The obligation to submit declarations of interests applies to high-ranking state public servants, local government leaders and council members, certain public sector officials, and individuals to whom the performance of a public function has been delegated, if such an obligation is prescribed by law or by a decision of a superior.
